With Huang Qi, for ulcerated abscesses with insufficient drainage or which drain a clear thin discharge and Qi and Blood Deficiencies.
With Chao Bai Shao, regulates and harmonizes Qi and Blood.
With Gan Cao, moderates spasms and relieves abdominal pain.
With Sheng Jiang, Yi Tang, Bai Shao and Gui Zhi, for epigastric and abdominal pain.
With Huang Qi, Bai Shao and Sheng Jiang, for postpartum spontaneous sweating, fever, shortness of breath and back and leg pain with inability to turn from side to side.
Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 4.5-12g Tonifies Qi and Blood, tonifies Wei Qi, stabilizes the exterior, tonifies the Lungs, promotes the discharge of pus, generates flesh and expels toxins.
