Rz. Belamcandae She Gan 6-9g Transforms Phlegm, clears the Lungs and eliminates wheezing.
With Xi Xin, Zhi Ban Xia and Sheng Jiang, for dyspnea and cough with profuse white or clear sputum.
Hb. Ephedrae Ma Huang 6-12g Induces sweating, releases the Exterior, disseminates and facilitates Lung Qi, calms wheezing and stops coughing.
Rx. Asteris Zi Wan 6-9g Relieves coughs and expels Phlegm.
With Kuan Dong Hua, for cough and wheezing with copious sputum and rebellious Qi.
With Wu Wei Zi, for productive cough, wheezing, and spontaneous sweating.
Flos Farfarae Kuan Dong Hua 6-9g Moistens the Lungs, descends Qi, stops cough and transforms Phlegm.
With Wu Wei Zi and Zhi Ban Xia, for cough and wheezing due to congested fluids.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 6-9g Dries Dampness and transforms Phlegm.
Hb. cum Rx. Asari Xi Xin 3-9g Disperses Wind-Cold and Internal Cold, alleviates pain, warms the Lungs and transforms Phlegm and Thin Mucus.
With Ma Huang, alleviates cough and wheezing due to Phlegm caused by Wind-Cold.
With Wu Wei Zi, regulates the opening and closing of the Lungs, alleviating cough and calming wheezing for patients with existing thin mucus who are exposed to Wind-Cold leading acute wheezing and coughing of clear thin sputum.
With Zi Wan and Kuan Dong Hua, for chronic, persistent cough.
Fr. Schisandrae Wu Wei Zi 3-9g Astringes leakage of Lung Qi and stops cough.
With Ma Huang and Xi Xin, for cough due to Wind-Cold.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 3-12g Releases the Exterior, induces perspiration, disperses Cold, warms the Lungs, stops cough and reduces the toxicity of other herbs.
With Da Zao, for External Wind-Cold.
With Ma Huang, strongly creates sweating to treat all externally contracted Wind-Cold disorders, especially those in which Wind-Cold has constrained Lung Qi with cough and wheezing and the failure of Lung Qi to descend causing nausea and vomiting.
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 6-10g Moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
