Os Sepiae Sepiellae Hai Piao Xiao 6-12g Restrains, holds in and stops bleeding, controls acidity, alleviates pain, resolves Dampness and promotes healing.
With Pu Huang, for gynecological bleeding disorders such as metrorrhagia, extended periods and epistaxis at the time of menstruation.
Concha Ostreae Mu Li 9-30g Absorbs acidity, alleviates pain, heavily settles and calms the Spirit, calms the Liver, benefits the Yin and anchors Floating Yang.
Rx. Salviae Miltiorrhizae Dan Shen 3-15g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, soothes irritability, cools the Blood, reduces abscesses, nourishes the Blood and calms the Spirit.
Pollen Typhae Pu Huang 3-12g Stops bleeding by astringing, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
Bletillae Bai Ji 3-16g Astringes leakage of Blood, stops bleeding, reduces swelling, generates flesh and eliminates ulcers.
With Hai Piao Xiao, for hematemesis from bleeding peptic ulcers due to Stomach Heat Damaging the Yin, while also promoting their healing.
Corydalis Yan Hu Suo 3-12g Invigorates the Blood, circulates Qi, stops pain and disperses extravasation.
Phyllostachys Nigra Zhu Ru 4.5-10g Cools the Blood, stops bleeding, clears Heat and stops vomiting.
Gallus Ji Nei Jin 3-30g Strongly reduces Food Stagnation and improves the Spleen’s transportive function.
With Dan Shen, for epigastric pain, especially when associated with hepatitis.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 5-30g Nourishes Blood, astringes Yin, adjusts the Ying and Wei, softens the Liver and relieves pain.
With Gan Cao, for a
bdominal pain due to disharmony between the Liver and Stomach and epigastric, hypochondriac or flank pain.
