  1. Sophora Alopecuroides Ku Dou Zi has a long history as a traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of bacillary dysentery, enteritis, hepatitis and other diseases, and exerts a critical role in the treatment of tumors.
  2. Inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
  3. External application of the oil is effective for eczema and tinea.
  4. 5-7 seeds ingested daily treats leukorrhagia. The seeds should be swallowed, not chewed. If chewed they can cause dizziness and headaches.
  5. 6g in decoction of the root Ku Dou Gen, relieves toothache.
