LOCATION:

  • On the abdomen 5 cun above the umbilicus, 2 cun lateral to REN-13 Shangwan.
  • On the abdomen 5 cun above the umbilicus, 2 cun lateral the midline, level with REN-13 Shangwan.

NEEDLING:

  • Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-1 cun.
  • Moxibustion is applicable
  • Straight insertion 0.5-0.8 cun.
  • Caution: In thin patients, deep needling may penetrate the peritoneal cavity.
                   Deep needling at right ST-20 Chengman may penetrate an enlarged Liver.
