  • Located 4 cun superior to the vertex of the externalmall malleolus on the anterior border of the fibula.
  • 4 cun above the tip of the external malleolus, slightly anterior to the border of the fibula, between the m. extensor digitorum longus and m. Peroneus brevis.
  • On the lateral aspect of the lower leg, 4 cun superior to the prominence of the lateral malleolus, at the anterior border of the fibula.
    Note: this point can be found at the junction of the upper three quarters and the lower quarter of the distance between the popliteal crease and the tip of the lateral malleolus.
  • Puncture perpendicularly 0.5 to 0.7 cun.
  • Moxibustion is applicable.
  • Perpendicular insertion 0.7 to 1 cun.
  • Straight insertion 1 to 2 cun.
