Rx. Sophorae Flavescentis Ku Shen 3-30g Disperses Wind, kills parasites and stops itching topically.
With Huang Bai and She Chuang Zi, as an herbal wash for general itching or vaginitis due to trichomonas infection.
Flos Chrysanthemi Ju Hua 4.5-20g Disperses Wind, clears Heat and detoxifies.
Fr. Cnidii She Chuang Zi 3-30g Dries Dampness, kills parasites and stops itching topically.
Flos Lonicerae Jin Yin Hua 6-60g Clears Heat and resolves Fire toxicity.
Rx. Angelicae Dahuricae Bai Zhi 3-10g Reduces swelling, eliminates toxins and expels pus.
Cx. Phellodendri Huang Bai 3-12g Drains Fire and relieves Fire toxicity topically.
Fr. Kochiae Di Fu Zi 3-15g Expels Dampness and stops itching.
With Ku Shen, for skin irritation and itchiness due to Damp-Heat.
With She Chuang Zi, topically, as a wash for itch.
Rz. Acori Tatarinowii Shi Chang Pu 1.5-10g Promotes Blood flow, reduces swelling and alleviates Wind-Damp Bi and sores internally and topically.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Skin lesions after contact with a foreign substance
  • The lesions have well defined borders (contact)
  • Main sites involved:
    Antecubital and popliteal fossae
  • Lesions:
    Pinpoint papules
    Papulovesicles
    Vesicles, some of which coalesce
  • Slight infiltration and severe itching are likely
  • Maybe necrosis
  • Water blisters
  • The skin is rough and itchy
  • Bleeding or exudation follows Rupture of skin after scratching
  • Erythema
  • Disturbing sleep
  • Scratching will cause slight bleeding or result in the formation of bloody crusts
  • Severe cases:
    Burning
    Itching
    Pain
  • T: Red
  • C: Thin and yellow
  • P: Soggy and rapid
