  • Contraindicated for those with bleeding due to Yin Deficiency with Heat signs.
  • Contraindicated for those with nausea and vomiting with Heat signs.
  • Do not use alone for those with swollen sores with overabundant toxicity that is hard to eliminate.

NOTES

  1. This herb comes from ashes at the bottom of a stove where Rx. Lithospermi/Arnebiae Zi Cao has been burned.
  2. One source indicates that it is old clay from the clay bed inside a stove that has burned dry grass or wood for a long time.
  3. On source say that this herb has astringent properties.
  4. For swollen sores, it is mixed with garlic into a paste and applied to the area.
  5. For moxa blisters, boil and pour the liquid over it.
  6. It can be used alone for general bleeding.
  7. It can be used alone for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
